It is best to keep your posture and movement moderate when pregnant. You should also stay away from alcohol, caffeinated beverages, spicy foods and food that contain purines. These foods can cause gastric and abdominal discomfort.

Medications can also help relieve the symptoms of abdominal cramps during pregnancy. However, before taking any medication, it is best to consult your doctor. He can prescribe medicines that can help control the pain caused by abdominal cramps. Taking food supplements, drinking lots of water and getting regular exercise are also recommended ways to prevent the occurrence of cramps.
